Halong Bay covers an area of 1,553 square km over 3000 limestone islands and islets rising from the clear, emerald waters of the gulf of Tonkin, near Chinese border. Halong Bay is one of the natural marvels of Vietnam. Due to its typical terrain of sea depression dotted with limestone islands, 300 square km, it was recognised as the world natural heritage by Unesco in 1994

Am: 7.30am leave for Halong Bay, 11.30 arrive in Halong (with stop to visit Hai Duong). Lunch.
Pm: Get on the boat and do 4 hour boat trip around the bay, visit Thien Cung and dau Go caves, the most beautiful caves in Halong. Get off the boat at 4.00pm, back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi at 7.00pm.
